  • This an online course that parallels a three credit english course designeded to guide student writers through the summary, paraphrase, reflective,and interpretive and writing. This course will develop in students proper citation procedures so that these procedures can be effectively used in essays and all writing across the board. Each student is required to write at least four 500-700 word essays in English, including the four types of writing and writing strategies taught in class. The Essay must be supported by at least three citations using the APA documentation style. The research writing will lead to the development of an 8 to 10 page research paper(6-8 sources) , doing so in the APA format.

  • This course is designed to develop in student writers an awareness of the process and techniques of effective writing. It is tailored to equip students with the skills needed for writing for a variety of purposes and audiences. Styles, proper use of grammar and mechanics are emphasized as well as the application of strategies that enhance conventional forms of composition. Basic research skills, summary writing, along with proper documentation styles also form an integral aspect of the course.
